Medical Staff

We are affiliated with many hospitals in the valley. We do newborn rounds at Banner Thunderbird, John C. Lincoln North Mountain, Arrowhead, Banner Good Samaritan, St. Joseph’s, and Phoenix Baptist hospitals. We admit our sick children to Banner Thunderbird, Phoenix Children’s, St. Joseph’s, and John C. Lincoln Deer Valley hospitals.

Harold Magalnick, MD, FAAP

Top-Doc

Dr. Magalnick has been involved in the community for many years. He is a physician evaluator for Arizona Long Term Care (ALTCS) and a medical liaison for Make-a-Wish of Central and Southern Arizona. He is a board member of the Arizona Children’s Association and Ryan’s House. In addition, Dr. Magalnick has been a team physician for the United States Figure Skating Team and has traveled with them throughout the world. He has also served on the Council on School Health for the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Mitra joined Pediatrix in 2001 after completing his residency. He serves the community as a member of Phoenix Children’s Care Network Development and Networking Committee. Dr. Mitra has previously served as Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Arrowhead Hospital, and has also worked as a preceptor to medical students as Midwestern University. He has been recognized by Phoenix Magazine as a ‘Top Doc.’ Dr. Mitra speaks Spanish and Bengali.

Lisa Drummond, PNP


Ms. Drummond attended New Mexico Military Institute, where she received an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Army Reserves. She is currently the President of the Arizona Alumni Chapter. Ms. Drummond later attended Arizona State University and received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nursing and completed Arizona State University’s Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She is also employed at Phoenix Children’s Hospital as an IV nurse specialist and has participated in Diabetes camp and Camp Honor (for children with hemophilia and HIV).
